What up, Stradistas.

I was fortunate to score a set of lightly used stock bags from a member. I like them and the mounting system better than any of the aftermarket options.

So, has anyone looked into getting the stock bags re-finished? There's a really good cruiser leather shop (they do a lot of custom saddle bags and such) near me and I plan to take my old, nasty, grey bags in and see what they can do. I was hoping they can offer a textile-type finish like the stockers that will hold up better to the sun than the originals. Maybe even more waterproof.

I don't know how this will turn out. If anyone knows of a shop that can do something like this, please list below.

Sounds like a great idea, Gat. Real leather might not hold up as well as some of the better fakes; and it they stitch through the plastic as well as gluing it on it won't matter as they aren't waterproof to begin with.

Let us know please, and pics or it didn't happen...

Well, that's delightfully random. Can you provide details: cost, materials used, etc.?

I have a set of the Bellevue Ducati plates to mount the Givi Trekkers. Has anyone used these? I'm interested in how they worked out and any picks if you're up for sharing them.
