I would recommend getting the part# off the unit and messaging the DimSport customer support. There English is broken but very helpful. Before I purchased my Evo off eBay, I sent them the SKU off the unit to be sure it was legit and not a refurb. They were very helpful and answered all my questions.
Are you including "Hypermotard" in your search? They sold a lot more of those and as long as its the same engine model (821, 939), you will be fine. Check the ducati.ms classifieds, too.
I fitted one earlier this week. Bit fiddly, but can be done without removing the tank if you have the hands of a 3 year old. Not sure if it has made any difference at all to the performance of the bike, but I have no baseline reference point as I got it with a pipe and decat also, so no idea what it is like as stock.
Bought and returned my rapid bike easi as It wasn’t easy, the product image makes it look like it’s a simple plug in under the seat but it’s not, it comes with a small wiring loom and minimal non hyper specific instructions which mean you have to ideally remove the tank and who knows what else to fit. Ok if you’re experienced with tech stuff etc, I would have been happy to have tried had it been supplied with proper step by step diagrams but the laziness of rapidbike not to do this cheesed me off so it went back. Have decided to do a proper remap instead.
The big photo instructions that came with my Evo 6 years ago were adequate. Some youtube and another popular forum filled in the gaps. Dimsport does struggle with their Italian->English translation but, their stuff is very high quality. If you have to pull the tank and tap leads, might as well get the Evo. Pulling the tank was the hardest part, which is not easy or fun but something you should get familiar with if you plan on servicing your own air filter or changing spark plugs.
I did not have to pull the tank on mine and it was a little fiddly, but only took an hour or so. Not that hard with the provided instructions if you can identify all the parts.
My main issue is the utter lack of space under the seat to house the controller module.
Nick, add a QS module, heated vest/gloves loom, multiple accessory additions, servo delete spoofer, that LED splice you might use again...it gets tight. The racing seat seams to have a little less give, as well.
