For what it's worth there is a recall in Australia to check throttle, clutch cable and fuel pump relay mounting. Not sure if they have applied accross all countries, as I assume that bikes are made in batches to meet local design specifications.

Received an email from Ducati for the throttle control sensor. However when I check the Ducati site for recalls it states there are none. I wonder what that is all about?

From what I can tell it's either that famous Italian "character", or the recall is only for the 2014 sp. I also have the 13 strada and no email and no recall listed.
The throttle thing you got an email about is not an actual recall from a legal perspective. It's just a voluntary check up to look for possible problem parts. A real recall comes with paperwork from the NHTSA.
I have a ‘13 and got the email. I believe any of the bikes with the original throttle with the light return spring are in the scope of this checkup. My dealer looked up my VIN through his own Ducati software and confirmed my bike was possibly affected.

I also have a '13 and my bike is affected. I have had uncommanded throttle inputs while off throttle, then being kicked into limp mode.
The dealer pulled a throttle code on my first service, and tried to say that it was because I parked in the sun.
It's going back to the dealer this weekend, and I'm getting a new throttle.
When I talked to dealer on Tuesday about my clutch cable i asked them about recalls and checks. They said there was a note on my file saying the throttle had been checked. I know they have done a couple of updates on mapping and they also early on, if i remember correctly, worked on the steering head bearing.

Thanks for the clarification Porkrind. My bike goes in next week for the throttle check and to fix the odometer.
Again, the throttle thing is not a recall, and the email from Ducati doesn't call it one. It's a TSB or whatever Ducati calls those things. A recall is a specific campaign overseen by the NHTSA, with all different. legal notification requirements.
