No recall for clutch cable!

Received an email from Ducati for the throttle control sensor. However when I check the Ducati site for recalls it states there are none. I wonder what that is all about?

The throttle thing you got an email about is not an actual recall from a legal perspective. It's just a voluntary check up to look for possible problem parts. A real recall comes with paperwork from the NHTSA.
I have a "˜13 and got the email. I believe any of the bikes with the original throttle with the light return spring are in the scope of this checkup. My dealer looked up my VIN through his own Ducati software and confirmed my bike was possibly affected.

That website doesn't seem very accurate. I entered my VIN and it said there were no outstanding recalls. Interesting considering my bike is currently in the shop having the throttle recall work done...
