My experience with using the 20S has been so good that we are all switching to the new Sena 30K for group rides. The Mesh is getting good reviews from early adopters. Much better connectivity than Bluetooth.

Since it snaps right on to my 20S helmet set up, I'm good to go.

Still going to be connected to my radar detector via Bluetooth.

I also want to try it. Heard they're having issues with the microphones though. Several local guys complained and SENA is working on a firmware update.

I have the 30K sitting right here, but haven't used it yet.

As for the mic on the 20S, the same as the 30K mic, the correct positioning right in front of the mouth is important.

Maybe a firmware update would change that, without allowing background noise trigger it, might work?

The guys who participated in the group buy we did are now using the 30K. The Mesh is working well, with better range than Bluetooth. When using Bluetooth and Mesh connection to riders with older and 30K Senna units, the battery life is 5 hours. This requires a quick recharge mid-ride. I ordered one of the tiny lithium chargers to accomplish this task.

Over the next couple of weeks there will be additional reports about range and experience.

What about battery life when only connecting between other 30K riders? I have been getting a full day out of my 10S so pretty happy with that.

No reports yet.

But then, the charger I found on Amazon is $12.99. It will charge my camera or iPhone too. 1"x1"x3.5". Easy enough to bring along.

Update: Reports are coming in with 5 hours of constant layered use. Example: Music and Mesh or Bluetooth and Mesh.

Supposed to be 8 hours.

So, a lunch recharge is necessary for long day rides.
