Slip-On Exhaust, what's your experience?

FWIW, I put the GPR can on my HS821 a couple of months ago. noticeably smaller and sleeker-looking on the bike. much lighter than stock can, though not sure how much. I left the baffle in and no other changes to the bike were needed (i.e. air filter, ecu map, etc.)

It is obviously louder, but not too much, in my opinion. I can tell the bike breathes better and it has a more aggressive throaty rumble to it. love how it sounds on deceleration. Fit and finish of the GPR can was great. I am very happy with it.

I took the DB killer out of my no-cat Akra couple months back. Not a huge fan of screaming 4-bangers and don't like being the obnoxious neighbor with the noise machine firing up at 0630 every morning, but...love it. Wish I had done it sooner. I don't think it's as loud as some of the smaller cans and not headache inducing at hwy speeds. Didn't notice a performance gain.

I love the GPR. I've been running it without the baffle in. Although it is louder I don't find it obnoxious. It definitely has a deeper throatier tone now. I have a Nexx XD1 helmet with the built in Xcomm communicator that connects to my gps & phone. I can listen to music, make and receive phone calls & hear gps directions with no issues so the slip on can't be that loud. It is much lighter than the stock can, probably about half the weight, and the build quality appears to be top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

You don't have to make any other adjustment to the bike(tuner/intake/ect) if you're just going to run a slip on. It's when you put a full exhaust on or do a slip on/cat delete that you need to start thinking about a re-tune, intake, ect.

Cool! Mine arrived today, will install next week somewhere. I will add a picture if anyone is interested.

I would have gone with the Remus if I didn't find my Akra used. I put a Remus on my GTI back in 1998 and friggin' loved it.

I had dual Remus cans on the 02 M620 I had years ago. Loved that sound and everyone always thought it was a "bigger" bike lol.

GPR slip-on installed.

It certainly looks and sounds better (and saves a ton of weight)
I'd like to say she breathes a little easier but hard to tell as I also went with a 14t front sprocket and I think I'm noticing that change much more.

Happy so far!

Anyone else here done the flapper delete on their exhaust system as well? I did mine not too long ago and really wish I hadn't. I've noticed at low speeds that she's bumpy as hell. Where I used to be able to cruise around low speed turns in second gear, I now either have to use first or stay in second and feather the clutch.
