Starting Problems ??

Hi all has anyone on this forum had any trouble with their Duc reluctant or failing to start ? Only happened on two occasions, it turns over but will not start and the message 'Error' shows up on the dash ? First time bike was in daily use second time had stood for a week, started first time did 20 miles then 30 minutes later very reluctant to start : then started fine ??

See the last post on this thread. I think a couple of people have had the problem you described. One had to haul it back to the dealer a day after getting the bike. I don't know what the solution ended up being. They all took it back to the dealer under warranty.

The bike refused to start once. The engine was still hot for what I remember ambiant temp was very hot. My mechanic told me that the possible culprit could be the 'California evaporation emission system' that gather too much evaporation pressure and then prevent the ignition. I'm not a mechanic but that is what I gathered from the 20 seconds crash course.

I hope it bring some answers.

Been back to dealers who ran diagnostics and a can bus line fault was the problem.......erased and reset OK so far since

Did not start

I had that on the second day I owned the bike. Had promised my sun to take him for a ride - nothing - ignition on; bike didn't start. Back to the dealer. They said that an indikator cable had caused a shortage. But it took them two weeks to find the faulty cable. New ECU, software update, nothing helped.
