The 9000 mile service inerval thread

Anybody know the gap spec of our spark plugs? Do you even need to do that anymore? Haven't changed plugs in many years and it was on a car.

i changed my oil today.. 3000 miles on oil and it was black.. I will change every 3000 miles

I don't think it matters, assuming you change them at the service intervals like Ducati recommends.

My bike is 13 months old and has travelled 39,000 klms.

Oil and filter has been changed every 7500 klms and is black when removed...I reckon this is mainly clutch particles. With fresh oil I get a few false neutrals until the oil starts to 'black up'.

Have had no issues with the electronics, have had all the recals done, about to go to my forth set of tyres. Think that the standard pads will be good to 45000klms as will the chain and sprokets(maybe longer).

Bike is used for tripping and not commuting but is riden hard most of the time. Apart from the switch gear and the forks I'm been a very happy camper. I just love that big vee twin feel and sound....
