Vaccine roll out in Ireland has been slower than that in the UK. So when I was offered a vaccine in my hometown I jumped at the opportunity to get some miles on the bike while Ireland was still under lockdown travel restrictions.

Check out the footage of some of the best biking roads in north and south Wales

I arrived in Wales in Holyhead and via Llanberis pass I went down the A470 to Cardiff. It was a trip down memory lane for sure as I've not been home since december 2019 and not ridden a bike in Wales for over 5 years

The round trip was actually 600miles due to a sailing cancellation which meant I had to backtrack to get to another port for departure.

Pictured here (on the return trip) is a rather empty abergavenny bus station which would be full of bikers on a typical summer weekend.

Just goes to prove that bike-riding, especially Ducatis, is good for your health!
I really must get back over to N Wales on a bike soon.
