Thank you, sir.
So the puig is around 2 inches or 50 mm taller and about the same width as the stock screen?
I was working on making a screen using vacuum molding. I ended up hacking an old BMW 1100 screen. I'll try to post some pics later.

you're welcome. puig is exactly 18 inches tall... 3 3/4 inches (95mm) taller than stock

interested in your solution on the bmw screen. to put my stock hyper screen to good use, i'm planning to fab a bracket to mount it to my monster so i'm looking for ideas. i think the shape and rounded edges of the stock screen matches the lines of the monster more than it does the hyper

A number of years ago I had a 600 Monster that I used to knock about the city on, a few extras bolted on to that baby too. It could not have pulled the skin off a custard tart, but it was still fun to ride:D

Went on a ride last Thursday with my buddy Cam, over the Santa Rosa Plateau down to DeLuz Road. This is one of the best back road riding areas in Southern California, with no cops and minimal traffic. I think we saw a dozen cars in 40+ miles. There was a lot of sand from the rains, but Cam managed to keep his R6 out of the weeds this time. When we got back we put new Q3s on both bikes. Ah, there's nothing like a beautiful winter day and new rubber....:D

My new parts directly from Italy.....

But i won´t install the vinyls for the side panels, because i´ve folied (clear) the side panels, so that they don´t get scratches.
I will think about that later, when the foil gets ugly.

:D

This BMW connectors are not powered when the ignition is off...you need to connect it directly to the battery.

Another thing about the DIN sockets is that they support a maximum draw of about 5amps (60 watts)-for battery charging and electric jackets this should be a consideration.

Finally received my after market levers over the weekend, fitted them last night while the wife was watching TV
I had to remove the OEM micro switches for the brake lights and clutch circuit and use the ones fitted in the new levers, plus pull the clutch cable up tighter on the adjuster behind the right cover on the frame, but other than that they went on without any real drama.
The bonus is I got rid of the leaky brake fluid master cylinder that comes standard with bike:cool:

So, Pom, what levers did you get and do you have any input on their use?

Today I installed a Garmin Zumo 390 GPS with TPMS. I also installed a brake light modulator (SupaBrake-II motorcycle tail light modulators | vizi-tec) -- was plug and play and took 2 minutes to install and I think it's a fantastic safety feature that really gets motorists attention when you brake.

Mechanical newbie here...

Installing the brake light modulator took only 2-mins - would that include removal of the Tail Light assembly?

I have the Workshop/Service Manual, but still trying to make sense of how to remove the tail light assembly... Trying to understand the User Manual first before ordering the SupaBrake-II.

Im looking at
  • HYM.05 Fairings - Removing the rear side panels and
  • HYM.07 Chassis - Removing the tail light (no need for me to remove the Number Plate Holder, right?)

Thanks for any tips?

almost bought a Hyper

A couple of days ago my riding buddy and I checked out a 2013 Hyper SP for him. The seller turned out to be a flake, so he ended up with one of these.

Very nice! I was pretty close in getting one of those. They're slick looking bike. Not sure why ducati stopped making them

It has a plastic fuel tank, a known problem that has plagued Ducati for a while. I'm investigating a local guy who will coat it so that it stops swelling from the ethanol. Had two trusted sources recommend him.

I suspect that they will come up with a new model of this type of bike. My buddy is totally in love with it. He got it OTD for $1300 less than MSRP! It was the last one in the warehouse.

He has already added sliders, Evotech rad guards, and a bar end mirror. There is nothing in front of you when sitting on it; makes you feel like superman, flying through the air.

PS He could not touch the ground on the Hyper SP...
