The wheels on the hypermotard sp are the 1199s/r wheels, if it fits the motard sp they will fit our stradas.

interesting. just placed a deposit for a monster as a gift to self this christmas. will let my hyperstrada hibernate for a while

question:

hyperstrada/motard and monster 796/1100 single side swingarms are the same for both bikes. are the wheels interchangeable as well?

if 1199r/s wheels can be chucked onto the hyperstrada, can they also be fitted onto the monster?

Im not sure in the 796/1100's but the monster hmm not sure about the rear wheel. I'll ask my dealer Tuesday and repot back.

Those look good. Very OEM'y. Kinda look like old 996 wheels. Is the weight savings noticeable?

I have only ridden about 60 miles with new tyres on wet roads hence taking it easy to start with. Yes they they do seem an improvement. The steering is a bit lighter. I need to ride on some more in dry conditions.

I have an Aprilia which I changed the wheels for the RSV4 Factory wheels and they were considerably lighter. The change in steering response was more marked than with the Hyperstrada.

This is a very interesting thread. There are lots of decent used wheels on fleabay. How about someone putting together a list of wheels from other Ducati models that will fit? I'd do it but my Ducati knowledge and experience are very limited.

I have 1100s wheels on my Hyperstrada.

so monster 796/1100 and hyperstrada/motard 821 rear wheels are interchangeable (for SSSA)... thanks dragoon

it's useful to know the compatibility with other models so we'll have more options. i agree with the idea of someone who has done swapping wheels doing a compatibility list, or just add to the list if the OP doesn't mind

already confirmed--

1. 1199r/s
2. monster 796/1100
3.
4.

Ok so.

Compatibility List of other Duc models

1. All Hypermotard wheels(including previous models)
2. 1199/s/r wheels
3. Monster 796/1100
4. 899 wheels
I'll add to the list as I read some more specs

are you sure about the 899 wheels? aren't they made for a double side swingarm?

I will dig the paperwork out for my wheels. it might be worth trying to reverse "engineer" and take the part numbers from OZ and see what other bikes are listed against the OZ wheels. This would mean finding an OZ catalogue or similar. I will add the reference later.

That list must include various different fitments...it's not likely that every OZ wheel for Ducati is the same!

I'm looking for a cross reference that would let me search fleabay and craigslist. There are lots of Ducati wheels out there.

Here are the OZ Piega references for the front are P3010DU35-A-B and the rear P6011DU55-A-B.

The front has 1098 and the rear 848 in the line associated with the references which I assume is indicative of the other figments.

also keep in mind that ducati superbike wheels (1098, 1198, 1199 >) are 6-inch wide versus our wheels of 5.5 inches. has anybody tried putting on a 6-inch wheel to the hyperstrada? how about clearance issues?

Well, I actually got out on an ride having bedded in the tyres. As already commented, the steering is light anyway so the two main things I have managed to feel are that ride has improved and there is a bit more precision in the steering.

Its difficult to find the words to gauge the changes and they are not night and day, just subtle improvements.
