Want To Buy WTB: 96880082A Racing seat, Kaoko throttle lock

The scoop in the stock seat makes me unhappy, looking for options.

Also a Kaoko throttle lock for a '16 Hyperstrada 939.

I am also looking for the same, I've been talking to Kaoko for some reason they seem to think the DUC-135 doesn't fit my bike (i was just trying to find some place to buy on in the us)

I wasn't able to find a source for the Kaoko in North America.

Kaoko forwards North American orders to Twisted Throttle, but they don't have the DUC135 in stock. I guess we'll see what happens.

Nobody has an extra racing seat around?

I talked to twisted throttle too, they said they dont carry the duc135. also Kaoko says the duc135 wont fit our stradas, they say its for the older hypers our bars are 18mm id and the duc135 is designed for 14mm id.
i'm not sure if it would accidentally work or not, but its not worth it to me to spend 130 on a maybe.
i found my own solution. i've been speaking with kaoko and they recommended modifying a duc135, as well as said they could make a new one with a 10 week lead time. i started prototyping my own and 3d printed a test part.
as it turns out, i've rode all weekend with this thing, and i'm super happy with it.
if any of you have printers and would be interested in one, i can share the STL's with you.

i didnt find a race seat (well i did but they are spendy) , but i did find a cheap cover, and i'm going re-foam my journey seat and make it how i want it.

If the Kaoko doesn't fit, I'd be interested in buying a printed version from you. I don't have access to a printer myself.

I have a past owner that says the Kaoko does / did fit the Hyper 939 with the 22mm bars, so I don't know who's right.

Kaoko just sent me this:

"We confirm that DUC135 will only fit the 939 Hyperstrada with the 14.3mm ID(internal diameter) bars. "

My bars are 22mm O.D. all through (no taper) and 18mm I.D.:


So if anyone has 22mm O.D. bars, the Kaoko will almost certainly not fit.

Maybe I should give up and get an Atlas.

when i contacted them, i was just looking for a dealer in the us, according to their website the 135 fits hyperstrada all (as far as i know thats only 821/939) thats when the guy was telling me it wouldnt work.. i wasnt gonna spend that much money on a firm "i dont know" if it'd been a honda that'd be different, i got lots of hondas around here but this duc is a "stumbled onto a deal" kinda thing.. and none of my friends have hypers either..

so, based on what they said about it only fitting the 939 hyperstrada, i just looked up the part numbers for bars on a 821 strada(which i have) vs a 939 strada i can tell you the 14 model is 18mm ID, i can also tell you the 821 and 939 use the same part number.
so what they told you is wrong. when i talked to them, i got the impression from them that the 14mm (ID) bars were from the older hypermotard.
I am no expert on these things in fact, i know very little, havent even had one for 3 weeks yet.. but i can tell you, it didnt make sense for them to change the diameter of the bars when the rest of the bike is virtually the same, so i looked up the part numbers.

I've been talking with Kaoko about ordering, and may have a line on a used one. I would like it soon, but I can't exactly purchase three of them.

I have a tour planned for the 24th (-ish). I've done 1,000 km a day without cruise control / throttle lock (don't ask) but that's not to say I prefer it.


I have forwarded this info to Kaoko, we'll see what they say.

Hopefully someone actually installed a Kaoko on their 'Strada, and can confirm one way or another!

send me your address. i dont know if i can get one printed and to you in time, but i can try. (my printer is hung up for 3 days, i'm printing a speaker pod)

i did this for a guy in Australia once and it worked out.. he wanted a part i made for my wife's honda ctx, but it was cost prohibitive to ship it.. so he found a local 3d printer shop and i sent him the files.
if you can find a print shop or put up a classified ad asking someone with a printer to print you a part and drop em 20 bucks or something.i will attach the files.
these should be printed pretty dense and i've been doing my stuff out of petg.
