Are the Termi's worth it on the Hyperstrada?

Pedro, I watched most of your video waiting for you to wind it all the way out but you kept it pretty tame.

The fact that pedestrians 100 meters away turn to see what's making that growl when I'm gettin in it reminds me the stocker is quite audible.

Plus one for a deeper, bassier growl. Think the forks and a steering damper have higher priority.

Fair comment, I will search the video archives for a more exhaust (RPM) oriented clip. I absolutely agree with you about the front end being the priority. I think the steering damper has been the best addition I have made, along with the swap to EBC brake pads; I might pick up a set of Andreanis when I visit Italy in July ; can't wait, along with other things, a 7 day Red Bike (Ducati) tour of the Alps.

to answer the main question here: the Termi is not worth it. Definatly not.
Too expensive for what you get for the money.

bump!

Any more info/experience on the SPARK exhaust?
Checked out price $1100.00 US. I have not seen one for $650.00. I watched the video and loved the sound, exactly what I am looking for!

Thank you
B

On the Hyperstrada, what are you gaining on a performance exhaust? Sound or brand recognition to impress? You can blow away the majority of expenisve European cars with the stock setup.

I bought my HS to cover the miles with a brand I love. What are you gaining on a touring bike with the Termis?

I look at $2000 spent on the Termis as 20 tanks of gas. 20 tanks of gas is 4,000 miles to me.

Put the Termi on mine.

Of course I can grumble about the price, but I'm happy that I've done it. Looks great and the sound is much better.

It's more than that

If you are talking about miles on your Strada, it would be 200 ten dollar tanks of gas (3 gallons at $3.33, or 2.5 at $4) each. At 100 miles per tank, that would be 20k miles...not sure I'll live that long!

The full system gives 5 more HP, so whatever the slipon gives can't be much. Any perceived improvement is probably imaginary, which is typical due to the increase in noise.

Still, whatever turns your crank is fine but please don't ride it in my neighborhood in the middle of the night...
