I had a really good think about it last night, I'm going to go the 2013.

The theory is I'm going to be a good boy and save up the extra over the next month or two, the reality is I am weak and will probably slap it on the AMEX (will be the first time Ive used a "loan" for a toy).

Whoot! Just got back from 150mi ride. This thing is a hoot, and can carry highway speeds without going over 5.5k rpm = 80 indicated!

52 miles this evening. Love the way the bike feels so connected - it talks to the rider. Dash indicates mid 40's mileage. Dealer said keep it b/w 2.5 - 7K rpm; so I've been rowing up and down through the gears w/i this range.

Honestly, I think the throttle is a little too sensitive from closed to slightly open (Touring mostly). This can be a software patch later. I think I'll be wanting the larger windscreen, too. Oh, bags came off fine at dealer. 5 hrs later in garage, won't budge...

Got it!

I picked up my white Hyperstrada yesterday in Houston about 2 hours drive for me. Barely rode it yesterday but I got the chance to put about 50 miles on it today. Like someone else said I was glad to see its easy to run hwy speeds keeping it under the break in rpm. I thought the bike was very smooth and comfortable, easy standing up and riding which I was glad to see because I do go off road some. I have not had any trouble removing the bags like some have commented. I am going to really like this bike! I have this weird urge now, I keep wanting to act like a hooligan weird

Just received a confirmation from my dealer. The Hyperstrada has shipped from New Jersey. He sent me the info from the shipper showing VIN, etc. UPS freight says 5 days shipping. I'll be tracking it!

Looks like we have an issue in Canada as well.
Went to GP bikes a few weeks back for the official launch, they did not get it in time and swapped it for a Motard.
A rep from Ducati in Italy called me to inform me the closest dealer that show a HS in stock is in QC city, a whopping 1000km away from my home.
I am calling a few closer dealers every week and still the same answer... Call back next week we should get a shipment in... That's been like this for the last month.
What's going on Ducati?

I am not in a hurry to buy, still waiting for my insurance money to arrive.
