Had clutch replaced with upgraded 2015 clutch to cure the problem associated with the 2014 model.

Done by Ducati mechanic, but after 200km it failed.

When clutch casing was taken off, the nut holding clutch on was actually split in half, threads were perfect.

He said never came across this before.

Anyone ever hear of it happening on any Ducati?

I remember seeing you just upgraded your clutch last month and it seemed positive, so bummer to hear about this happening after only 200 kilometers...

From the Hypermotard 821 Clutch Fix Guide:

The only difference between these two designs is the clutch pack. Although some other part numbers change, the parts themselves are identical.

Ask your Ducati mechanic to compare the clutch nut from your old 2014 versus the new 2015 replacement? Is it identical?

Maybe it's just a one-off bad clutch nut, or maybe it's identical to the old clutch nut?
