There has been a problem on motorcycle forums with older accounts, that were once active and legitimate users within the community, who have since gone dormant. These older accounts are using older passwords, and bad actors are accessing these accounts to deceive or take advantage of others. The real problem has been within Classifieds, because they are using the credibility of these older accounts to falsely sell something and scam people.
Moving forward, new changes have been made to stop bad actors from using old accounts that have been password breached.
Security Lock
If a user has not logged into the site for 365 days or more, their user account will automatically be security locked. To reset the account, the user will be required to do a password reset to their email address.
