Debating between ordering

AIR FILTER / LID and a Slipon

Or the full termi

Is anyone running the filter/slipon combo?

How does it run? Does it feels like it needs a tune, or does it ride just fine

I have run lid, filter, slip on. It's alright. Still waiting on the head pipe from Shift Tech.

The full Termi system is supposed to be great. I don't like the price or the looks.

Don’t like the price, and the look is not 100% what I like

But if you say the oerformance is good and no hassle,

Or do you think the filter lid and slip on give you 90% the performance of the termi kit, for 1,400 dlls less (and work good without a tune)

Watch this YT dyno run discussion … and give Vcyclenut a thumbs up.

I favour riding the peak of the torque curve (6k-9k) so I’m left with the impression that I’d be happier without a termi. YMMV.

I haven’t looked particularly closely at relative gear ratios and shift points, but I suspect that last 1200 RPM will really only matter when you're trying to pull top speed in top gear; cuz it’s off the torque peak and it very quickly winds by in any lower gears.

My dealer lent me a 698 mono with full termi’s. Nice and smooth at lower rpm especially. More punch higher up. Pops and bangs on down shifts.

I recently installed the new Spark titanium conix evo’s already had the sprint filter and open airbox lid.
Results: not so smooth at lower rpm as full T. But higher up it feels equal or even slidly more power. But most of all the sound has a different pitch more 1 cilinder like. I like it (way) better than then the Thermi’s. Also the conix shape matches the lines of the bike.
Good job Spark. Waiting fot a good remap just to check. Intrust the engine runs not to lean.

are you going to remove the db killers?

These mufflers are euro5 complient, The bolts that lock the db killer to the exhaust are welded.. But the combination with open airbox has the perfect level for me for street use.

Track operators in Europe seem to have racers taking noise regulations more seriously than street riders there.

But I'll note that street bikes tend to be ridden softer than race bikes, and that has a huge impact on noise. With baffles removed, the Wings can on my 690 would make my ears bleed under heavy load, but it was only occasionally obnoxious while braaaping around town.

Hi guys, i've bought these slip-on from termignoni, it sounds better than stock but still can be a bit more in my opinion, does anyone know if it's possible to remove the db-killers? i looked but can't find a screw or weld to cut? any help is much appricated.
