Flip the lights up and get a shorter mount bolt and you will have a great affordable option.
I was undecided on whether to mount them up or down. I figured they might be less likely to move if they were mounted down. I'd have to cut a new mounting bracket if I wanted to flip them, so I might just leave it as it stands. The hardware though should be replaced with something a little higher quality, and the correct length, I agree.
All in, without the switch, I think this came in under $70. The switch alone was $60.
