Termignoni exhaust

Slip on exhaust changes the programming of the ECU?? Is the weight different from the original.??

Apparently it does change the programming of the ECU. The dealer said they updated mine to the new programming when they installed the exhaust. What's weird is that around page 37 of the owners manual it says that this exhaust should make the display say "Hyperstrada Performance" instead of just "Hyperstrada" when you turn the key on. Mine doesn't do this. Can anyone else confirm that theirs does?

I would bet ECU is modified for O2 sensor readings mostly. Anytime you toy with exhaust system on newer vehicles you have to play with O2 sensors to trick ECU.

No and Yes to both of your questions.

The full system requires a software update and will change the dashboard at start up to say "Hyperstrada Performance"

Are you sure because my dealer said it wasn't supposed to change it to say Hyperstrada Performance. Does yours say it?

I have the slip on exhaust so no it just says "Hyperstrada"

Anybody pulled the baffels out yet?

Yeah I pulled them out then put them back in after a day because it was way too loud. It actually hurt my ears. Sounded awesome though.

How different is the sound from standard to termi with baffles in?

Is removing them simply a matter of undoing a screw or 2?

Thanks.

I started to pull mine the other day just to see what is what. There is two Allen bolts on the wheel side of the muffler that you remove and the insert comes out. The access holes in the can do not quite line up with the bolts so a little bit of trimming of the carbon is required to get the bolts out at least on mine and not feeling like it at the moment I put it back together. More to follow....

I'll post these up here as well...

;)

Hey does the low mount termi smooth out low rpm (< 4000) running or help with light throttle surging? On my two previous ducks (2007's) I needed to pay extra (buy DP) to get this sorted. I run bags on my SP so the high mount doesn't look like a good option.

this is just a short clip when I first came home with my Termignoni exhaust.
without dB killers btw

PS: I've tried numerous ways to insert the video here, but I can't seem to manage it. if anyone knows, please let me know. thanks
