What is your rev limit?

When you say 8250ish, you mean you get the red light on the dash come on or it would actually bounce off the limiter?
 
in my case it was hitting the limiter there. 100% due to the microswitch on the clutch lever not being disengaged when i pulled the lever.
 
For me it would actually get to 8000 and then the red light would stay on solid and it wouldn't go any faster. Definite rev limiter.

Oddly enough, if you were accelerating real fast, it would sorta get past 8k, and then 9-10k would be fine. So, it would suddenly cut out, and then kick back on again. Almost got away from me a couple times.

After putting the 15T back, I rode 100+ miles and not a single issue. Everything works as it should. Stupid Ducaca!!!
 
I can't get my head around why that 14t would have caused this??? was it somehow causing the clutch to slip?

That is a weird one for sure
