So a few addition to the Strada over the weekend

Added the DP off road hand guards

These units are LED opposed to the incandescent bulbs found in the stockers.

These are full on aluminum guards just like they should be.

SW-Mototech sump guard installed previous but without photos until now.

Did not do a very good job washing that last time did I!

Also put on a set of the 2" Rox bar risers for a little more comfort while standing.

Really could have don't with 3" but then who couldn't use another inch? Not so sure the wires would be long enough for 3"...

that DP handguard looks like it has an aluminum frame. is it significantly heavier than the oem ones?

Those hand guard looks nice.
Got a link to them, and what was the price?
And your right, the Hyper should have one like those as standard and not the plastic fantastic onse thats breaks when you look at them to harsh.

The rox bar risers... Where those bolt on or did you have to do anything to the wires?

Sorry all I'm not getting email notifications from this site anymore….

I ordered the hand guards from Pro Itala in SoCal and no they aren't cheap in true Ducati Performance fashion

off-road-hand-guard-kit

The bar risers are bolt on and the wires are long enough for 2" and maybe 3" but that I don't know for sure. The 2" units will fit but the zip ties holding the wires bundles behind the head light assembly will have to be clipped for enough length.

I would not say significantly heavier but the stock units are all plastic and these have 1/2" thick aluminum spine in them so yes they weight more.

I've been thinking of doing this for the last little while. I got home today and decided that it was now or never. I'll post a small thread when I'm done.

jerdog53:

you have ordered a off road hand guards, right?
they are the off road hand guards same like racing hand guards?
on the picture looks racing like off road HG.

What do you think?

functions and looks way better than the oem but too pricey for me... if there's somebody i can trade-in the stockers with, i might consider. and that aluminum bracket/frame coming in black instead of silver is a bonus. thanks

Agreed... From the web photos which are not good I would say yes they are the same. To my knowledge only Ducati Performance is making these aluminum hand guards.

Swapped the wheels from my 1100S. TC gets a bit more of a workout now. :D

Takes off a whole lot better from a stop, and just better overall really.
