Almost two years with my HS 939 and not a single issue, but when the engine is hot (I don,t mean above the limit) for example when I stop for gas, when I start the bike, the bike just start but no response with the accelerator, usually in 10 or 20 seconds the bike goes well with no problem. The solution I found was to crank the bike at the same time give some gas and no problem.

The problem is shown only if I hit the run button when is hot, never when is cold.

Anybody with the same problem?

Almost sounds like a vapor canister issue. Is it only after filling up?

No, I went to the Ducati dealer and they detected the problem. They made a computer resetting and nothing. They say that this is a common problem with some HS and Hypermotard. (Just hit the gas when starting the bike) I going to get rid of the canister to see if that helps.

Not common. You should not have to touch throttle on modern Fuel Injected bike. Since it's TBW, I don't even think it moves anything until the bike has turned over. You can't flood it like on a cable operated throttle.

same issue

Hi,

I have exact the same thing with my 2015 HM!!

The dealer checked everything this summer and did find a problem with the starter.

I will change the starter this winter.

Ya, I think failure to start when warmed up is tell-tale crappy stock starter. Mine sucks, but usually works better after warmed up. Cold starts are awful...crank, crank, crank

Got the upgraded Denso and plan to install very soon. Bike is in pieces right now.
