Which cruise control/throttle lock fits the Hyperstrada?

I thought that I would order the omni cruise setup while I wait to see what happens, or doesn't happen, with TuneBoy.

Are there any issues with clearance and the factory hand guards?

I am going up to my tuner tomorrow morning to have him activate the fly by wire cruise control on my 2014 Multistrada. Yep you are right, they did not come from the factory with cruise control.

He said he should be able to do the same thing with the hypers in a month or so. I will keep you informed as I know more.

Dope! My dealer said it should be do-able b/c of fly by wire back in 2013. Please keep us posted.

How is the tumer going to activate something that isn't even there? It's been well documented that the designers of the First ten MTS1200 didn't even think about adding cruise control. Obviously not enough espresso that morning. "I know, let's make without touring bike without cruise control!!!!"

As I cannot edit threads here after a few days. a few weeks ago I took the bike in and they hooked it up and I now have cruise just like the 2015 models. This was on my Multistrada however. He has not worked out the programming for the Hyper yet. It must be magic :D I did the same thing on my heater key BMW Z4. If it is fly by wire it should be able to handle it. all the sensors and things are there.

I am using omni cruise. Works as advertised. And being in Australia it's been really valuable for those really long days....with long straights...

So how did your guy get this to work on your Multi? Unless he has a new program for the bike I don't see how he did it. That is unless Ducati lies to us and CC is in the software but they never activated it for some EXTREMELY foolish reason. Could have charged people to activate the CC as an option or accessory.....

I got an e-mail from Tuneboy and they haven't even started CC for us yet :(.

They haven't done a damn thing at all for our bikes. People have been contacting them since these bikes came out, and all they keep doing is pushing back their time frame every time someone asks. They started with "early 2014", and i sent them an email about a month ago with the response "It's in progress". Yeah, whatever. I'm not holding my breath.

So I've been in contact with someone here in MN that develops custom cruise control systems. My bike is getting dropped off this weekend to begin development. I will keep you guys in the loop on the outcome. It should be a plug and play system, with no modifications to the wiring harness.

Here is his site: aftermarket cruise controls for automotive and motorcycles

Currently he's developed custom systems for the yamaha fj/fz09, and ktm 1190. There was a thread over on advrider detailing how his system was developed, and how it works. In short, it picks up a signal from the ABS sensor, and sends a signal to the throttle bodies for control.

Let's not get "cruise control" mixed up with "throttle control". These easy-install options are far from actual cruise control.

Do we have any real digital options that work with the factory computer and throttle-by-wire?

Yes you heard me correctly. Electronic cruise control. Our bikes use the same ABS system as KTM 1190s (Bosch), and he's already made a system for those. He said he doesn't see any reason why it wouldn't work the same, and I'm sure by sometime next week we'll find out.

He's got it 90% done. He was able to read from the canbus through the diag port. I think he's just waiting on a few connectors for the throttle assembly. I'll let you guys know if I hear anything.
