About to p[ull the trigger on an '24 950SP. How are you guys wiring switched power for radar/gps? My 1260 Multi has a small white plug under the left fairing. Is there one on the 950?
Thx in advance for any advice!

On my 939 there's the same white GPS plug but it's hidden within headlight unit, so nose fairing off etc.
I've wired a USB socket to it for phone charging.
Theres a few threads on here if you do some searching, heres one installing Ducati GPS but has decent pictures showing white plug:

Someone will have to pipe up regarding the 950 though.
That or parts diagrams might help you

Edgey, Thx for the reply and links. Not sure if the 950 is the same but I'll keep drilling down on it.

If no info on here this forum started as Hyperstrada which was 821/939, no 950 strada, only recently diversified to all Hypers so likely limited 950 knowledge on here yet.
Might have better luck asking on another general Ducati forum or I'm on a few Facebook groups which have a lot of 950 owners on.

If you find out though report back!

Following as I'm a new 950 SP owner and plan to do the same thing. Let us know what you find.

Just got the headlight upper fairing off. Here's pix of the wire loom above the headlight. The only small white plugs that have one side of the connector with a dummy plug are both marked "Grip Heather" (Italian spelling of heater), and I cannot find another one. There should be one for a GPS, but I sure can't locate it. Ideas?

On the 821 - Item 06 is the Navigator power.
Fed from the rear fuse box 13. Red/Black wire on fuse 1. Black -ve.

I'm not sure if that will help you.
Maybe a friendly Ducati dealership could check the 950 wiring diagram/ or if there is a GPS feed.
??

I have got to the same position and cannot find a spare 12v feed for a GPS in the headlight area. Did you find the accessory plug anywhere else?

Nope, still searching and banging the forums for a clue. Might have to tap the lead to the USB socket near the battery. Suboptimal, but not sure how else to solve the problem.

I had a good look round today, I did find another spare connector in the headlight area but it was a 4-wire plug with no label, I'm guessing that's for another factory option. Also had a good look under the fairing area both sides but nothing obvious. Next option is to find out how to remove the side fairings to see if something is hidden under there. Worst case is, as you say, a tap into the USB socket feed.

Let's keep each other posted as we make progress towards our common goal. I pulled the USB socket out of it's holder and there isn't very much lead to work with, and no access from underneath . I'm still hoping to find a switched source up front, but as a last resort I will tap the license plate light wire in the tail section. I have studied the shop manual schematics ad nauseum and there is no mention of a GPS/Nav circuit on the 950.
Did you test the 4-wire plug to see if any of the wires were switched hot? If so, could you post some pix of where it is located.

Yep, Pg 261 of the owners manual shows: "Rear fuse box key (B), Pos 1: Key-optional". Now only need to know how to retain waterproofing.
Gotta run, will check in later.

I didn't check the spare 4-way socket for voltages as it looks like an option that may need enabling by the dealer. I'm starting to think that Ducati has used the GPS supply to feed the USB socket under the seat? I've put a question to a dealership this morning and will let you know their response.

Check out this post and pix which I just received over on the other Hyper site:

I will check the schematic in the 950 shop manual. I hope he has a suggestion as to how to keep the fuse box waterproof after using the add-a-fuse.
That's another good option and one I've used on a different bike. Pretty sure I have a few of those around. So it may be that there isn't a dedicated 'GPS' feed on the 950. Nothing back from the dealer yet.

Here's the shot of the spare 4-way socket under the front fairing, maybe yours is connected to a factory option I don't have.

Thx for the pic. Hopefully the dealer will shed some light on the issue, although unless they have a wrench who has actually installed radar/gps/etc on a Hyper, they will probably refer to the shop manual, which doesn't provide an answer that I could find. Thx for keeping me posted.
I looked at the fuse box and I'm not sure how to use an add-a-fuse and still get the rubber cover back on. We ride in the rain here in Colorado, thus my concern.

Still nothing back from the dealership, I may make a visit there next week to see if I can get an answer. As for the fuse box, I had the same issue with the lid not fitting and had to resort to PVC tape to seal it up, as you say, suboptimal.

That was in a different bike.
