Canada eh
I know many people want crash bars for the hyperstrada but none are available as of yet. Some people have sent emails to different company's asking for when they will make a set, and that data is spread throughout the forums. So wanted to see if we can get everyone's knowledge of what crash bars are coming to market when in one place. especially updated knoledge.

To start my Wife emailed alt rider the other day and here is the not to great response she got considering people had said they should be working on them now.

"At this point, we only have the Hyperstrada side stand foot available – the crash bars are not even in the development stage yet. Whether we will develop them in the future is yet to be determined. Please let me know if you have any other questions. "

StefanR those are sliders and thats not what GT is talking about.

I believe this is what GT is referring to…..

I have email Altrider on several occasions about building this to fir the Hyperstrada, I do not believe it will take much redesign to make this work on our bikes.

Everyone needs to email them weekly asking for this product for our bikes!

This is what i am taking about. StefanR what you posted is frame sliders, looking for the bars setup you see on most adventure touring bikes as frame sliders offroad are useless. Also can;t easialy mount lights on frame slider. Thanks for the post tho others may liek those.

So I agree anyone who wants bars should start emailing.

Received this from ALTRider"¦

"Hello

At this point we do not have any crash bars in development for the Hyperstrada. We are working hard on finishing up projects for other bikes, and once we do we will gauge the market and see what we want to develop next, and your input helps! We are continuously creating new products, so keep checking back! You can stay up to date on all of our new and developing products through our newsletter. To sign up, go to altrider.com and click on the "create an account" link at the top right hand corner of the screen.

Here is a link to what we currently offer for the Hyperstrada
Let me know if you have any further questions."

Can you see my eyes rolling"¦..

So anyone hear nay news

I am making a rumor here tho, with sw-motech going ahead and making a kick #$% bash plate for the bike, it may not be hard to believe they are working onc rash bars. sw-motech is what my vstrum is kited with and I like there wares. So hey maybe time to email sw-motech again.

Also recommend emailing alt rider as they showed interest. someone got to make these bars for us.

Altrider update

Mid april, this was my responce from altrider

"Unfortunately we do not have any products for the Hyperstrada in the works
at the moment. Our 2014 development calendar is full, but that doesn't mean
we wouldn't consider building more parts for this bike in the future. We
take our customers interest into account when deciding on new parts and we
thank you for your interest in AltRider. Please let me know if you have any
further questions."

Any one else heard some news?!?

I pulsed Altrider again

this was their response...

"At this time we do not have any crash bars for the Hyperstrada in our development schedule. Our developmental timeline is currently full for 2014, so the earliest we may work on these would be early 2015. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
Matt..."

All will you sent them an email asking them to build these for those of us that want them...

interesting but I see 2 issues.

1: that's a u clamp holding on the top mounting point directly onto the frame. IE not a bolt on point.

2: it has only 2 mount points, ie i don't see a bar connecting the 2 pieces together out front like the bars on my vstrum for example.

I would wonder how these would hold up in a crash. That said I would love to know the cost, specs and such.

I agree with Hawk after review on the big screen!

Looking at the pictures there are some tabs attached down low that may be for a cross bar attachment they do look a bit flimsy for that more likely aux lighting.

I was looking at this picture and noticed the plate next to the top mounting point being different.... I mean the one with the black "P" on it.
Is this part of the supplied crash bar or some aftermarked part?
It is not original....

If they would change the top mounting point I could be up for one.

I would certainly like to know more too.

What is the price/availability? I'm in Bangkok

Thanks

I think in this position the CrashBar is damaged more than it's doing good! For example your bike only fall over the frame, covers and the radiator can be damaged!
I don't like the top connection is well, but it is a start ;)
