Hi can anyone help ,I took my hyperstrada 821 to a motorcycle workshop where a ducati specialist works, I have had a few issues with my ecu it had a can line error so sent to carmo electronics to be repaired. I had it back fitted to bike now the dash is flashing (dtc) ,rev counter ,engine temp, and fan runs constantly when ignition is switched on.
I took to guarage to be plugged in to diagnostic but the diagnostic device wouldn't talk to the ecu ,I am a bit confused as I sent ecu to carmo to be repaired and say they fixed it ?

it doesn't say can line on errors and indicators don't flash anymore, but fuel don't prime anymore and fans turn on constantly since I had ecu back.

m I safe to say carmo has not fixed all ecu problems ,and is it the reason the bike won't connect to diagnostic computer??

The faulty coils can burn the ecu, dash, black box, or any combination of them. Most of the time it's the dash that burns out first. If you sent just the ecu it's possible there is another one of the three that is damaged.
Also, if you performed the proper diagnostics and only the ecu was dead, and didn't replace the coils (which is the source of the issue), it's quite possible the ecu burned again.
Please see my post here.
My suggestion is to send all three parts (ecu, dash, and black box) to carmo and replace the coils before refitting the repaired dash, ecu and black box.

Thanks THEHITMAN for your advice I have sent all parts (dash, ecu, bbs&key) to carmo again ,I only sent my ecu last time because my hyper has already had the recall for the can line filter so I assumed the dash was OK... we will see when carmo get back to me ..🤔

HI Hitman can faulty coils burn out the ecu just by switching the ignition on ?? because I sent the ecu, dash, bbs and a key to carmo and the said the ecu was fried again ? which I find strange as when I installed the fixed ecu from carmo the bike would not turn over because the start button was still dead ,also the fuel didn't prime and the fans came on when I put ignition on which didn't happen first time around, any advice or help please...
