A time ago I bought a Rexxer Evo unit and flashed my ECU with a custom map sent to me by Rexxer. (O2 sensors and exhaust flap disconnected.) It brought a marked improvement in terms of smoothness across the poweband.
However, some 1000 km later the engine feels quite rough again. Not in the same way than before (there's no jerkiness and no surging in low revs), but rough nevertheless. It feels like the engine vibrates although it actually doesn't, or like there's some added mechanical friction in the moving parts.
Some days the effect is more pronounced than another, but I would say it's getting progressively worse with time.
Could it be the autoadaptive functions at work? Bad petrol? Hot weather? I will speak to Rexxer, of course, but would love to hear some internet wisdom, too. Thanks.
