Hyperstrada or hypermotard

After a long discussion with my wife and the kids, I bought a white Hyperstrada yesterday!!!! My friend called from Italy and he told my that the Hyperstrada is lot more comfortable than the hypermotard where you will be more seating "on" the handlebars.

Delivery will be end of march or begin april. Second Ducati I bought without a testdrive.
Now I'm looking for a good bluetooth headset, gps (tomtom Iphone). Maybe I will ask my dealer to put a white stripe on the rims to.

My neighbour who bought a streetfighter 1098, on the same day I bought my Monster M1100 3 years ago, will order normally also a Hyperstrada this week. But he will take the red version. The first 2 Hyperstrada's for our Ducati dealer.

The neighbour bought his red Strada today. So in april we can start with our two new bikes!! I will post pics when we have the bikes.

Does someone know if the exhaust pipe in the upper position (from accessories) is compatible with the side bags? I am wondering if the race exhaust pipe can be installed on the Hyperstrada.

I tried it on the configurator and it looks like the mounting bracket for the high exhaust interferes with the mounting brackets of the side bags. So it can be installed but you wouldnt be able to use the bags.

Thanks Mibanez, this is a great idea. I tried either on my side with the standard, it works on the french configurator but I think you are right. ;)

Had the chance to sit on the Hyperstrada at the bike show for the first time now. It will be a few weeks before I do a test ride.

First impressions:

- the white color doesn't look exciting at all
- indeed it is a compact bike; but is not so small for a 5'9'' as others have said; it's actually the right bike size
- after the BMW R1200GS I am used to, the seating position feels of course too "motard" - a bit too front, needs getting used to
- My eyes seeked the balance of the bigger windshield; which wasn't on the bike I saw.
- My two cents: I wasn't impressed visually at the first sight even though I was ready to fall in love. I think I need to ride to get the reel "different" feel of the bike.
- The sidebags look damn ugly ie transformers style. Definitely needs good farkles by third party vendors...

sadly for me i dont think i would go any other way other than the hyperstrada, ive looked at other bikes and test ridden triumphs tiger and street triple, bmw 800 gs and the KTM 990 smt and i dont really like any of them... and i really dont want to go back to a sports bike. i fell in love the first time i saw it on pictures and hopefully that love will only grow when i see it in the flesh ;)

I visited my dealer today and he confirmed me that delivery will be begin of april! gggrrrr; still a month to go but hey, after a week of 15°C overhere, next week they expect snow so...

I orded also white wheelstrips, a Ducatilogo (same as multistrada) for the front guard, asked to add a contactpoint to load the battery in the winter and we looked for some possibilities for a GPS/Iphone mount. And of course a new bike needs a new jacket :
