Pipes....

Hi MONOCOG, you seem to know your Hypers.
The SCP Pipe comes with a slip on and link pipe that removes the flappers.
Are the flappers operated by a cable that needs disconnecting ? Or do they operate automatically under pressure ?
Please understand, I only took delivery of my bike yesterday and not had chance to look around it !!

The exhaust flap is cable actuated. It is easily disconnected by removing the shield covering the flap mechanism to gain access to it.

This is correct. It's also possible to remove the electronic servo that actuates the valve, but probably not necessary.

Any also yes, the 821 & 939 pipes mount the same. Muffler & midpipe. The muffler is simply longer on the 939 with a larger catalytic converter.

I can well imagine .,I had a Comp Werkes pipe on a Diavel a couple of years ago and that was loud . They are similar in size and construction .

I just installed the arrow slip on with mid pipe. Comes with a removable baffle. Baffle in sounds a little meaner than stock. Baffle out sounds really good.

Personally I think this looks superb......

I agree, I have that pipe (SC Project Oval) on my 821. Outstanding manufacturing, and price is ok too. Unlike other pipes that have their logo bolted on, the branding on the SC Oval is just optional stickers. If you take the baffle out, make sure you have good ear plugs.

I do like the sound and look of the stock pipe, but on the freeway wind noise was louder than the bike so I ended up riding in the wrong gear sometimes. With the SC and good ear plugs I have no more wind noise, but can hear the bike well.

and how about the termi lo mount slip ons will I be needing the race Ecu and filters?is the 821 and 939 slip ons same? because from sites that sells lo mount termis they only have for 821.
Merry christmas...

hmmm...gotta say, that looks a little cheap and nasty and very loud !
I`m gonna have a real think and sort one out in the spring.....but I will almost defo be getting a quality one, that's not stoopid loud !
