Called Technoresearch up today since I live somewhat close to their location and want to pick one up as soon as possible. They mentioned that they have a version of their diagnostics kit for my 2015 Hyperstrada and it is on sale at this time for $199.

I've not found any other thread documenting any experiences with this product for our specific bikes so I'll share what I come across :) Other Ducati owners seem to be pleased with the product's features given the price.

If someone does indeed own the product please let us know what you think of it and its usability on our bikes ...

Yes please let us know how you like it, and what its capabilities are. I would gladly pay $199 and have full diagnostic power than be at the mercy of the dealer!

Can it:
Reset O2 adaptations?
Reset all TPS?
Read and reset diagnostic codes?
Alter fuel mapping?
Reset service indicators?
Live view sensor outputs?
Disable O2 sensors?
What is the rate of data display/collection?

Is it linked to a particular bike or can it be transferred to another user?

These are all the questions I would ask. Their website says features depend on the model. Thanks. :D

Excellent ... My list wasn't nearly as comprehensive :) Will try to get some answers and post back.

Sweet :) That's a fair price too, if it can do most or all of those things.

Maybe if we get 10 or more people here they will give us a further discount?

Will inquire about that as well would not mind getting the same setup for my 749 :)

Well called them back but just missed their tech that deals with the motorcycle product line ... expecting a call from him sometime tomorrow and hopefully we'll be able to get these questions answered.
Exciting times :) Seeing that I am close I may even be getting on the bike one day and just go see them in person for a live demo.

Count me in for getting one of these if it can get rid of my visits to the dealer for resetting the service light. Kuksul08 put together a pretty comprehensive list of what I need.

So here are some of the preliminary answers ...

Can the product :

Reset O2 adaptations? no
Reset all TPS? yes
Read and reset diagnostic codes? yes
Alter fuel mapping? no tuning capabilities
Reset service indicators? yes
Live view sensor outputs? yes
Disable O2 sensors? no
What is the rate of data display/collection? 5-10 hz depending on the computer

there are still some outstanding questions with regards to the licensing and wether it is tied to the model, to the bike or both. Furthermore the software supports multiple models and I am interested in having the ability to use it with my 749 as well ... the wiring is obviously model dependent.

From what I've heard so far this makes a pretty decent tool and in the end it is cheaper than a dealer visit. Barring any unfavourable findings and confirmation that my model year is fully supported without issues I'll be heading over to pick one up.

Bummer about the O2 adaptations, but not the end of the world. For $199, it's still a fair price IMO. One trip to the dealer just to reset a light is 1hr labor, so $80 to $130 depending on where you live, plus time and travel expenses. I think the unit will pay for itself in just one or two uses.

Now if you can sell it separately once you sell your bike, then it's really a no-brainer.

If you pick one up, some images or screen shots would be awesome to show its capabilities. Thanks a lot for posting your findings.

Seems that our ECU is a: Magneti Marelli IAW 7SM

I think that it might be better and cheaper options (for no tuning purposes...). I will search a few minutes on eBay.

Please let us know ... I've not been able to find anything at this price point.

There is the Rexxer Evo :: RexXer ECU-Tuning ::

http://www.ducati-kaemna.de/media/wysiwyg/Diagramme_Datenblaetter/rexxer.pdf

but the list price for the 1 bike "user" version is 499 Euro ... almost 2.5x more expensive if I got my currency exchange right ...

This is not a new ECU anymore and is also present on some other bikes, Aprilia for example so the likelihood of finding something else is pretty decent.

Is the Techno unit able to toggle on Ducati optional features? I had to pay 1/2hr service for dealer (Peninsula Imports) to turn on my heated grips. Would be interesting to see what other options they have hidden.

Rexxer Evo primarily is for loading new maps into EMM for better running, more power .....
additionally it provides possibility to read and delete errorcodes, reset TPS ....
i am very satisfied with it.

guzzidiag should provide all diagnostic features, but no service reset
also not available yet is iaw(7)reader and iaw(7)writer, to download and upload maps to IAW7 ecus.

Any update on this? Has anyone purchased the Technoresearch tool and been able to reset service indicators?

I am trying to keep in contact with them over email and trying to get regular updates ... Seemingly there is an issue with resetting the service notification which is what they are, according to the support folks, working on ... Unfortunately thats all I have from them ... I'll give them a bit more time in hopes that we'll get a decent product at a reasonable price.

i doubt that a tool for service reset is useful at all.
how often do you need it -every 15t km ? my garage does this without charging anything.

Kept checking back with the company's support team and supposably no dice yet with regards to support for our bikes. :(

Bummer...

I plan to use IAW Diag if I ever need to read fault codes or diagnose a problem, or do TPS reset (can it do this?).

And a piggy back (rapidbike) for fueling changes.

I would rather disable O2's with Rexxer but I already have the Rapidbike and like the ability to change maps on my own.
