Installing Aprilia (Eldor) Coil Packs on Hypermotard/Hyperstrada

In relation to changing the coils, could you post a picture after they're installed? I noticed that their length seems to be longer, and I will need to replace mine as well. If you could post a picture of the model you used, I'd really appreciate it. I live in Brazil, and it's quite difficult to find these ignition coils here.

The Eldor coil looks longer than the Beru, but it is only the rubber sleeve which fits further down the spark plug, that is longer.
When fitted they look the same.

Well....I am joining the club. I have sent my ECU and Dash to Carmo and I just purchased the ELDOR coils.

If I want to swap connectors prior to installation, which connector matches the Ducati harness? Are both coil connectors the same? I saw this in an earlier post, but there are several options and I would like to order prior diving in.

I assume I can also just buy the terminals and reuse the OEM connectors. Anyone have an amazon link?

Thanks!

Personally, I'd say just get busy with the soldering iron and shrinkwrap. That's all I did, and I added a ferrite choke close to the coil itself for good measure. The cable colours on the Eldor and Beru coils were the same, so just attach the Eldor cables to the Beru connectors that couple with the Ducati harness.

Oh, and welcome to the Coil-swap club!

I did the same.(not the chokes though)
I have to say it's not a nice feeling taking wire cutters to something that's not actually broken to replace it with something unknown. But it all worked out fine!

Pins seem to be TE Connectivity/ AMP "junior power timer"

Amazon sell -

Crimp Contact, JPT, 17-20 AWG, Rectangular Power Connector Contacts, Qty.1 | 2-964294-1

Which look the same but have a different part number. ~Bit pricey for what they are

If it helps anyone, when I did mine I used two Aprilia Eldor coils p/n: 857501 - these are the long cable ones, we can use 1 long and 1 short for front coil (p/n probably start of this thread) but if two long available makes life easier routing front cable.

These are the Bosch connector packs on the Ducati to replace the Aprilia connectors on the coils:
Bosch Compact Series 3 Way Male Plug Coupling Connector - 1 928 404 227
Bosch Part No. :
Housing 1 928 404 227
Terminals 1-963748-1 (Also note Alan's superseded part no above)
Wire Seals 1 928 300 600

Hello my fellow Hyper friends, i just bought my 939SP yesterday and we thought we will trouble shoot the christmas tree ... till we found out that it fried the ecu.
Could you confirm me that Part 38010144B (eldor coils?) work also for my 939SP and will be the correct replacement?

My Duc Dealer will send on Monday the claim to Ducati Switzerland and let's see if they will help me to obtain a new ecu or if i have to send it in to the netherlands for repair and troubleshooting. Awesome Informations here , thank you all for you findings and your time, much appreciated!

I was so happy to buy the Hyper to do my driving license in 10 days but yeah i wont make it, what a pity but atleast i will try to make sure to have a good season in 2025 with my new toy.

Thanks for your help

Is that the Eldor number? 38010144B?
That looks like a Beru number. Maybe the other/ newer Ducati coil??

I believe the Eldor are 857501 (Eldor78430002)

If the existing coils are Beru 38010145B then Eldor 857501 should replace them ok.
But I don't have the 939 so cannot guarantee anything.

Good luck with it.

This code is for Beru problematic coils.

Streetfighter 848 uses Eldor Coil, maybe look out for these codes, but confirms the Eldor codes (857501) before purchase it
