What'd you do to your Hyperstrada today?

Hi Dargoon

If you have time, could you please share a shot showing how the Fender arm mounts onto the sing arm.

Thanks very much

Winkie

Does it work with plasti dip?
I dont did it because I think that my legs will rub it off when I drive

I can't say as I recently did it, but I don't think my legs touch the subframe at all. 6' 1" here.

Did you remove subframe to paint?

Yes. I also only painted the outside. I didn't see a need to paint the other side of it.

It attaches where the swingarm pinch bolts go. I know some worry about using the stock bolts. The stock bolts have ~7/8" threaded into the swingarm. The plate is ~1/8" so there's still ~3/4" of bolt still threaded into the swingarm. The bolts are also hollow. I have no problem using the stock bolts to attach this.

I can snap a picture tomorrow.

Nice. I'm totally intrigued by the plasti dip craze. What I like most is that all the rattle can jobs i googled dry nice and even, your subframe job included. Pretty amazing stuff.

A lot of members have started painting their Strada's and I keep pointing out the subframe that really stands out when you switch from white or red.

On second look, that color matches the seat and plastics really well. What specific color is it?

I'm pretty sure its just the regular black. I wanted to paint it to blend in better, but did the plasti-dip so that I could easily put it back if need be.

Yep. Regular black.

i like the looks of the lusuardi tire hugger and eliminating the oem fender. looking at doing the same. did you mount the hugger using the stock pinch bolts or does the package come with longer bolts?

could you please post a side picture of the bike without the bags?

thanks in advance

I used the stock pinch bolts. I can post a picture later today.

that chopped-off-tail look is what i'm looking for.... with a hugger (other than rizoma) to mount the license plate on. very nice. since i very very seldom use the side bags, the pannier bracket will have to go as well

thanks for the photos

I dont know if i'm the only one out there that does not like the look of the bike without the factory plate bracket and tail lights? I find it makes the seat look too short, and like it has an extended swingarm. Some may like that look, just not for me.

Thanks for posting Dragoontwo. Looking good! I'm thinking to follow you on that one. However, at present I'm still riding without licence plate (3 months now), probably will get license plate next month.

At present its quite nice, no license plate, so I do not bother to stop at police checks (they cannot record my details when I ride past!). But cannot stay like this forever

Installed the Lusuardi Racing rear fender/plate holder. Had to modify the piece for the turn signals to fit with the pannier mounts, but it worked out. Going to look at reversing the shift pattern tonight as I had it that way on my Hyper 1100 S.

Did you buy it direct from Lusardi Racing or a distributor.

I have emailed Lusardi Racing - but the language barrier has been a problem - my Italian is crap and their English is not so good either.

Struggling to make any sense from their communications on how I buy there gear.

For me the plate holder wasn't about having a "chopped" tail look. I wanted a rear fender that may actually stop the water and whatnot from going onto my back. The factory fender will not. It doesn't even go to the end of the tire. The new fender should help out with this. I also plan on getting a rear shock sock to help keep any of the overspray off of it.

I bought mine directly from them. I didn't have much of a problem with talking to them, and I don't know any Italian. I guess I can just deal with broken English okay enough.

bazwp, what is it you would like to know? I may be able to help.
