After Market Accessories (farkles)

Are you saying OEM guards are fragile? I dropped my bike and they took brunt of blow, with little more than a faint rub mark to show for it.

I've piled mine up in the dirt and it didnt seem to hurt them any but then it was slow speed and dirt...

Does the ALT Rider radiator guard for the Multi 12 fit the Hyperstrada?

Anybody know?

Anybody?

Seems to me like I remember seeing one fit up to our bikes but cannot find where I saw it.

Got my waterpump guard today from S.Korea.
High quality stuff.
Got it thru ebay.

Will look for a picture soon.

Regards.

Can you post the seller here?

It's Espritmotorcycle

Ebay link is:

I think these are pretty neat for Hyperstrada.

Those really aren't much different than Speedymoto's, which I have an extra front spindle set of - PM if interested.

Rizoma is the only company I've seen that makes sliders that are different and cool. But the big Speedymoto frame sliders spools make a nice footrest to change positions on longer rides.

SWEET! Can you post a picture of the whole bike so we can see how the suspension tube looks when looking at the bike as a whole?

Also, where'd you get the AXIO tail bag? I've been trying to buy one of those but can't find one anywhere.

And how is the Freeway Blaster horn? Is it much louder than the stock horn, or just slightly louder? And how long did it take to install the horn? Was it plug and play?

Here's the bike. The tube does have white lettering on it but turned inwards you cant see it and the spring is kept dirt free and no need to clean

AXIO bag is a few years old.Was on my Hypermotard and now the Hyperstrada. Can't remember where I got it but I had 2,this matt black one (bought new) and another metallic silver one I sold recently (that one was from ebay)
The horn is plug and play as far as the connections are concerned, plenty of length on existing cables, however mounting was a *****. I wanted it mounted as close to the bike as possible to hide it from obvious view so had quite a few attempts and finally got it sorted. (2 days of buggering about). Bought a steel 3 x 4 flat L bracket from OSH (actually bought several) and after much trial and error managed to get the correct length to secure it to the existing horn mount and then cut the bottom of the L to the right length to mount the horn and still access the beak mounting screws. Then had to bend the bracket slightly to get the correct clearance/angles and finally the rubber washers to allow the horn to vibrate correctly to allow the sound. Its much louder than stock and a better sound. I had these on all my prior bikes and definately get noticed when its tooted (the stocker is embarrasing on a bike like this (IMO). Cant get pictures as its so well hidden - sorry

Good mods, but I don't understand need for shock tube. Does it have a mechanical purpose? Seams like you're inviting rust on the sensitive olio and I personally kinda like the bling yellow spring standing out. Not being a ******, just never seen one.

I've been drooling over your GiPro since your first posted it. I guess arbitrary to most here, but I really think I'll be stoked when I can look down and see what gear I'm in (I'm a hwy commuter and get really tired of doing the ghost shift to be sure I'm in 6th...). I don't know how long you rode stock but was it like night and day when you got the GiPro running? About $160?

Tube is neoprene, has vent holes and velcro down one side for easy removal etc.

Get the GIpro, you will love it. Red is better for reading, I had a green one on my Triumph and couldn't see it on bright days. Live feed from the power socket so no ugly cables to the battery.

So why did you fit spring cover?

What god fearing Duc driver would choose green over red?!
Sweet. It's way cheaper than a steering damper so will probably happen first.

I have the same thinking on the spring cover too. I don't see any difficulties in cleaning those. Not going to do off road with this bike anyway...

I have the same guard. It's really meant for a Multi; I had to drill new mounting holes to keep it close enough to the coil that the front tire won't hit it. Price was reasonable, though!

Thanks!

Would like the louder horn, but don't want to go through all of that trouble. Any chance you could tell us what size bracket you ended up going with and posting pictures of all the parts we need to get from OSH and make a DIY thread on here to help us all out? If I had instructions, I'd do it.

Also, did you relocate the horn to the front forks? Isn't the stock horn behind one of the side painted fairings?
