coolant temperature

Still in the break in period on the hs. Was curious what "normal" is for the coolant temperature? With freeway riding in medium traffic I can bounce between 3rd and 6th gear depending on the flow of cars. The temp reads from 168 up to 210. Just wondering what others may experience.

157 to 172 normal, city streets and stoplights, maybe 200 or 210.

Thanks for the input. I know your riding conditions and temps in Louisiana are about the same as mine here in Texas. I was just worried the hs was running a bit hot.

219F max in FL summer traffic. It's only around this point that I've ever noticed the fan kick on. Even then I'm really impressed how well heat dissipates as I never feel my legs getting cooked.

Does the break in period affect the running temp of the bike?
