Anybody else had this happenwith their odometrer? Mine started doing this yesterday, a line of ______for the main odometer reading. I'm in the middle of a trip so if it's not important would rather deal with it when I return home.

The bike seems to run just fine with no noticeable change in performance, The trip odometers and reserve gas kms run trip meter all work fine. The manual of course says to take it to a dealer. Bike has about 57,000 km and i did an oil change about 1100 km ago.

TIA
Colin

I'm in Vancouver so will call dealer tomorrow and see if they can do the reset. Like I said, performance seems just fine.

At one point a couple of days ago the OIL SERVICE light came on briefly. I'm sure the ECU thinks the bike needs an oil change but I did change the oil about 1500 km ago. The last time oil was changed by a dealer was at 30000km so I imagine the ECU thinks it's about 17000km past due!:p

This happened to me. It was only a display glitch, the actual mileage count still progressed. A dealer reset the system and I was good to go.

just for some extra comfort... mine has done that a couple of times. the digital odo gets out of sync with the analog one. In my case it came from rolling the bike with a dead battery to reach the charger.

My dealer is a peach and charges $60 to reset it. They tried to charge me the last time I had some maintenance done and I said "don't reset it." That reset was free... warranty is up, doubt that dealer sees it again.

Apparently there is some sort of patch for the electrical system that was in a tech bulletin a few months ago. Ièm due for my 60000km service pretty soon so Ièll bite the bullet and pay the big bucks for the service to get the wiring fix.

I believe my dash issue is the same as the one being discussed in the Canbus Warranty recall fix. I talked to my "local" dealer in Kelowna, Bentley Motorrad(200 miles away)and the service guy had no clue but the Ducati tech did. They didn't term it a recall which is why i never received a letter re-the fix. If it's not a recall, what the heck is it??

I rode the bike around the Vancouver area for a few days and then home, about 600 miles in total and had no issues. The trip odometers worked fine and I reset one of them when I changed the oil just before the trip so can use that to keep track of distance traveled until I get the "fix."
