Today I added the Ducati Performance alarm system which as you all know if you follow the instructions included with the kit you have to remove the underseat tool kit.. Which really didn't make sense to me. Why would you have a bike you can tour on, that you can't carry simple hand tools to even replace a headlight bulb? Oh, I added a few wrenches to my kit to be able to do that
So with the new battery being physically smaller in size (yet more powerful) meant I now had room to tuck the alarm module away out of sight and best off all keep tools on board.
Started with both bateries side by side and started adding some foam to equal the dimensions between the two;
Add the alarm module and surprise surprise they're the same height;
Where the wiring tucks into the battery box;
Then button everything back up.. Now, the alarm works perfectly and you cannot tell it's there. Only other modification I did which unfortunately never took pictures of was use a leather hole punch and punch a bunch of holes in front of where the speaker sits. ***edit added picture below***
