Hyper Clutch pack/basket life

My hyper is up to 26,000 km now and I noticed a gear slip, usually into neutral. I was wondering how long everyone's clutch lasted and if they had to replace the basket at the same time as the plate pack?? Or do clutch baskets usually last 2 clutch packs?
I'm guessing I should get at least 30,000kms with the wet clutch but I want to get an idea generally when they need replacing so I can order the parts beforehand.
I know I am supposed to take out the pack and measure it to see if it's within spec but I won't have time before my next tour.
 
I'm no expert on wet-clutch Ducatis, but are you talking about clutch slip or gearbox issues? Dropping into neutral suggests the latter, and I'm sure there's plenty of discussion here about that. However, if you do mean slip, are you sure you have your hydraulic upgrade adjusted so that pressure in the line is released when you let go of the lever?

Also, gear slipping Into neutral suggests it's not posatively enguaging. If that is the case then there is an adjustment under the stator cover. They make a tool to get it spot on but some say you can eyeball it and be good to go. This coming out of adjustment is usually due to the bike hitting the ground, someone slamming thir foot on the shifter lever or the retention spring breaking. This is the tool. Searching the tool in the forums will give you more info on what I'm talking about. This link shows the tool, the process to make the correct adjustments and an upgraded spring. To be honest if you are that deep into adjusting this then go ahead and buy the upgraded spring.
 
Only thing I can add from nuking a couple clutch discs previously: you'll find evidence in the sump and oil filters if it's aggressive wear. I packed the basket with two many discs when adding shudder kit and found lots of friction pad material in the sump.
