Hi all,
I am VERY keen to get my hands on a Hyperstrada as its it's really the only bike i know of that ticks ALL my boxes. I am off to look at one this weekend at my local dealer, however having done some research, the idea of buying a bike that is out of warranty, and also notorious for frying dashes and ECUs terrifies me!
I'm aware of the CAN Bus filter recall so I will obviously be ensuring that has been done, but I want to know if I switch the coils over to the Aprilia items as soon as i pick one up, will I be able to go on relatively long rides without fear of being left on the side of the road?
Basically: has anyone fried an ECU (or dash) after swapping to these coils since this has been a pretty well known thing for a few years now?
Thanks! I hope to be in your ranks shortly.
