After Market Accessories (farkles)

I'm sure you can't pay enough for a good all-weather luggage system but, the $800+ factory center bag is a little too rich for my blood. I could probably be talked into getting the adapter rack, though not cheap either.

The rack looks to be the same as the Multistrada. If so it would be cheaper to buy an aftermarket one that is avalible for the Multi. That's what I'm looking at doing anyway. That way I can carry my current tail bag.

I have been told that the rack for the Multi will bolt directly to the grab handles of the Strada allowing any top case to be attached that can be attached to the Multi.

Will the Hyperstrada take the Givi Monokey adaptors used for the Mulit?

I think it's way too early for AM to put parts out.
I mean customers only started receiving their bikes recently!!!
I think probably by X-mas or early spring they will be a plethora of farkles to buy.

I just ordered the GPS adapter bracket listed below that fits the multi strada. and mounts on the handle bar mount. I already have the locking GPS cradle for my garmin 665 from my GS that I sold. I hope the adapter has the same dimensions, if not maybe I can modify it to work.

GPS Handlebar Bracket Adapter, Ducati Multistrada 1200, 2010-on - Touratech-USA

Hi Dane1960,

I wonder the result, Did it fit to your hyperstrada ?
I have the same lockable unit it would be great if it fits.

thanks

Hyper just got the bracket late today from touratech. Played with it for a short time it is going to take some modification to work but, very little. I will take some pictures on what I do to make it fit and post or email you directly. it will be Sunday or Monday before I get to it though.

Thank you very much for sharing.

I had the 2010 Multi1200 and was one of the first to try the Alt-rider topplate for mounting monokey givi topcase.

I kept the plate when I sold the bike, and it does bolt right up to the grab handles just like I had it mounted on the multi12.

Today was my first ride 2up. My wife was too close to me, because of the mounting of the topcase and backrest. Keep in mind my topplate was a first off from them and I think it has changed since. It was even closer by about 3" and I drilled and moved it back so she could fit on the Multi12, but is at the very back, I can not move it any farther back without adding an extension to the plate.

Another thing, it flexes pretty good bit, don't think it is a problem, just that it flexes more than I like.

I am curious if the DP topplate has more support arms in addition to the 4 top mount points of the grab handles?

Bike handled very well 2up, I had preload on shock adjusted full on.

I have been looking for top case options for a while. I was happy when I saw superTen's post for multi monokey combination (thanks for the post).

My dealer did not have givi rack (SR312) for multi1200, so they couldn't confirm if it fits or doesn't.
But they told me that the OEM hyperstrada top box has monokey mount, so I ordered all the parts but the top box. Theoretically I can buy any monkey top box from givi and mount it on. I will post when I get the parts.

I often ride with my wife and I believe the extra arms will help to stabilize the box when passenger leans on it.

I was comparing the riders footrest on the Hyperstrada and my buddies Multistrada and they appear exactly the same. Therefore, for those spending some time off road, the wider off road accessory footrest for the Multistrada should fit.

I have arrived at the same conclusion and I'm sure from a ease of manufacturing standpoint the foot pegs would be the same.

Does anybody else's heel hit the centerstand and muffler when standing? No big deal just a little annoying....

I noticed that my heel would hit the center stand even sitting down if I roll my foot back just a little. I finally removed the center stand so it solves this problem and makes it easier for me to get the side stand down.

Touratech Gps Adapter for Multi now on Hyperstrada

Finished the modifications on the Touratech adapter for the Multistrada to mount my garmin 665, see pictures. I had to file one of the mounting holes in both of the "L" shaped brackets that mount to the bars as you can see in the picture. I chose to file bottom hole but after it was said and done I would have filed the top hole to move the adapter towards the tank and away from the instruments. The kit comes with a spacer for use on the multi's bar clamps which is not needed on the hyper but I used it to tilt the bracket away from the instrument panel furthur. I also cut the tube on the adapter about an inch to fit the hyperstradas narrower bolt pattern then drill and tap with a M6 x 1.00 tap. I bolted the angle brackets to the handle bar mounts tightened and held the tube to them to mark how much to cut off.
