Well I wouldnt have thought so, is there more to this story?

Finished the modifications on the Touratech adapter for the Multistrada to mount my garmin 665, see pictures. I had to file one of the mounting holes in both of the "L" shaped brackets that mount to the bars as you can see in the picture. I chose to file bottom hole but after it was said and done I would have filed the top hole to move the adapter towards the tank and away from the instruments. The kit comes with a spacer for use on the multi's bar clamps which is not needed on the hyper but I used it to tilt the bracket away from the instrument panel furthur. I also cut the tube on the adapter about an inch to fit the hyperstradas narrower bolt pattern then drill and tap with a M6 x 1.00 tap. I bolted the angle brackets to the handle bar mounts tightened and held the tube to them to mark how much to cut off.
There must be a mount that the 665 attaches to then that attaches to the Touratech adapter?
Is that mount also made by Touratech or Garmin?
I installed speedymoto frame and axle sliders before my 2500 miles to tennessee and I have to say they are very well made and are worth every penny.
the frame sliders saved my life because during the long rides I was able to put my feet on them, changing the angle my butt sits on the seat, giving me some relief.
How tall are you two because I have done upper 70s on the freeway and get nothing but clean air and I ware an Arai XD with a visor that can be affected by the wind, I have the stock Strada screen and no bobble head at 5' 8"

Another thing, the taller windshield is not really helping me with the wind on my helmet, at high speeds the buffeting is a major concern, while I was trying to rest my butt I stood up on the side pegs and the non turbulent air felt so good. On the weekend im going to take off the windshield off and giving it a try and see if the windshield itself is creating all the turbulence.
I have been thinking about the factory bags a lot lately and how they would take a fall or more how will the contents on the inside survive. I just got a touratech book and it has a page that says stuff is coming for the Hyperstrada. I hope they make a luggage rack because I am thinking about getting the hard boxes.
The top box should already work since the multi rack is the same bolt pattern from what I understand and its about the same price as the factory box. I have even thought about asking if I could get a unwelded rack from touratech and build the rack my self since I have the tools and skill to do so. Would be a fun project!
