After Market Accessories (farkles)

I wear lots of different gear and haven't had this issue. I'm in FL and am blown away at how well this bike dissipates heat from the rider. My older sport bikes were like ovens in traffic and they didn't have an exhaust pipe running right next to your right ankle.

Anyone know if anyone is making an extended exhaust guard? My right leg's 34" inseam likes to sit a bit forward and narrow to the bike at lights, resulting in holes melted through my two pairs of synthetic riding pants and nasty residue on the pipe that doesn't want to go away. If I keep my foot on the peg, the engine heat seaps through and gets uncomfortable fast.

I'm going to stop by the local dealer and see if the service shop has any ideas, or knows a shop that can build me a temporary sheet metal guard until a production model rolls out.

Try something like this, unless someone has a better alternative.
Might do the trick

My friend says once the bike mileage hit above 500km. The bike runs cooler! In another 200km, I will know n hope to feel the difference.

Doubt it, seeing as its thermostatically controlled. Never heard such a thing in all my 30+ years of being a mechanic. Maybe i was off that day lol

Before someone chimes in about tolerances and break in, temp is still controlled by Rad and fan. Also if your following manufacturers recommendations you won't be revving over 6000rpm for the 1st 600miles anyway.

You will not get that much blow by gasses passing the rings to cause an issue on a modern new engine like these. The tolerances and machining these days are so good that most engines from the factory don't even need running in today.

I see Hammerhead Designs had folding brake and shift levers for the air cooled Multis and others which should fit ours...

I'll add an item that I'm very interested in if/when it becomes available in the aftermarket: side panels [or side fairings, or tank fairings, depending on what you prefer to call them].

I've googled the crap out of these terms and I haven't been able to find anything other than ones for the older Hypermotard. My issue is that I damaged my left one a bit when I had my tip-over and I can't locate anything other replacement parts via the dealer - 750 bucks *each side* installed. That's pretty rich I think.

I expected to at least find something amongst the collection of carbon fiber parts, but nothing...

Soooo...if anyone knows of something out there that I can't find, please do let me know and many thanks in advance :)

I used hammerhead lever on my old hypermotard. Solid piece of product. Cant wait to get it for my hyperstrada

wow, first post drops a spell check on senior member...ballsy move, Mav.

those levers are exactly what I was hoping for. Did you offroaders see the evotech radiator guard? Or was that already found by someone?

They need to provide more photos of their gear mounted. They're the only company with aftermarke windscreen options but no photos on the bike.
