Evening folks, new here so ill start with my name.

I'm Rob, just recently purchased a hyper 950sp 2019 back in march this year.

Now the fun weather has gone and the bikes all laid up in the garage like meth addict waiting for its next "ride" (high) id like to get it off the ground and the weight off the wheels and front forks. Rear stand was easy, front Head Lift stand, not so easy. I've been searching now for a week or more and even contacted my local dealer (norwich) they have a Oxford one in stock but the Keyway only goes up to 18mm, now... I know my eyes are terrible but I've measured mine and its at 27mm and goes a long way up. Have you guys got one of these "rocking horse ****" stands with the correct key or is it something I'm going to have to get made? I've read in some places the front "beak" gets in the way of a head lift stand?

Any advice or part numbers would be a great help, failing all this ill just get a front stand that lifts from the forks :/

Regards Rob o7

Hi Rob,

I sympathise with you over this problem. I've had to modify/make nose-pieces for my stand (can't remember the make) because I guess most front stands are made for 'normal' height bikes and I have several ADV-height bikes. Fortunately, I have a lathe and also make use of old wheel bearings as the lifting surface. As you say, just gaining access often requires getting the stand into position before inserting the nose-piece. Those stands that go under the fork ends are pretty nasty though, so it's worth persevering with sorting a head-lift version if you want to work on the bike.
